I'm not sure why, but I love posting introductory entries to blogs. I'm not sure if I feel as though I need to justify what I'm doing or if I just like to hear myself speak. Regardless, you are reading this so I win.
I've always considered myself an artist. Yes, I create...I draw, I paint, I've sculpted, I create digital art, but that's not what I'm talking about. To me, the word "artist" is a broad term that encompasses passion through creativity. Anyone who is willing to invest themselves into something that isn't asked of them solely because of enjoyment is an artist. Losing yourself in something you love is being an artist. Unconsciously smiling because of what you create is being an artist. What, I believe, blocks true creativity is lack of inspiration! We are so bogged down by the day-to-day, the "reasonable", the "safe", that we forget to think for ourselves and take the time to let the inspiration in.
